Aviva Sponsors Open GI Broker Events

Open GI has sealed a deal with one of the UK’s largest insurers, Aviva, to sponsor all of their UK Product Clinics in 2010, providing even more value to brokers who attend.

This is the first year that these widely attended CII-accredited events have been open for sponsorship. Aviva were keen to give their support based on the profile of Open GI brokers. The value for brokers attending is that in addition to free training and CPD points they will also be able to speak to Aviva about new products and initiatives to help drive their business forward.

The series of 10, one day, free of charge events kicks off this month in the South East and will continue across the country throughout the year. They are designed to help brokers get the most out of their trading system with key networking opportunities with Open GI and Aviva staff, enabling delegates to gain extra technical and industry knowledge.

Sam Hudson, Head of Broker Personal Lines, Aviva, said: “Sponsorship of Open GI Product Clinics is part of our strategy of supporting the broker – an extremely important insurance distribution channel. Open GI control a large share of the market and their events are always informative and successful. The fact that the Product Clinics are accredited by the CII is testament to this. By being at the events brokers will have access to our expert staff to discuss how Aviva can support their business.”

David Kelly, Business Development Director, Open GI, said: “It is excellent news that Aviva has sponsored our events – reinforcing the value they deliver to the broker. Their overall direction and strategy is very much in line with our own in that they provide market-leading rates, competitive service and choice to the broker channel. Having the CII and now Aviva on board adds even more weight to these established events.”
