Frank Pickles Reduces Card Payment Costs with Open GI

Frank Pickles takes advantage of Open GI’s new card payment processing service, CreditLine Plus, to reduce bank charges, operational costs and improve efficiencies.

West Yorkshire-based Frank Pickles specialise in a wide range of niche insurance products, such as Kit and American Car, alongside Home and Landlords’ Insurance. Andrew Pickles, Director at Frank Pickles (Insurance Brokers), comments: “Accepting credit and debit card payments quickly and efficiently online and over the telephone is an integral part of operating a high level of service for the whole customer experience, from initial enquiry and quote through to transaction. When customers now make a payment, credit and debit card information is captured quickly and easily and details can now be taken securely over the phone without the card holder being present. By moving to Lloyds as our acquiring bank through the implementation of CreditLine Plus, we have significantly benefitted from improved bank charges.”

Acting as a Payment Service Provider (PSP), Open GI through its partnership with Universal Payment Gateway plc (UPG), fully manages payments to acquiring banks, card schemes and payment networks, allowing brokers to accept card payments while removing any associated security concerns. CreditLine Plus is integrated with the Back-Office and provides detailed Management Intelligence reporting to analyse and review all card payments made on a policy and tracks payments by card type. Fully meeting the latest requirements of Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) regulation, it offers brokers a fully integrated service for making secure, fast and simple electronic payments by credit and debit cards.

In an exclusive deal with Lloyds bank, brokers are offered a highly competitive transaction rate if brokers change their merchant provider to Lloyds to bring further cost efficiencies.

Simon Hughes, Sales and Marketing Director, Open GI, said: “We are delighted to see the benefits CreditLine Plus can bring to brokers like Frank Pickles. In an ever challenging economy, we are continually looking at ways in which we can aid our customers to make savings. Becoming a payment service provider is another way in which we can help brokers make substantial savings.”
