9th April 2010
Commercial property owners specialist, Lansdown Insurance Brokers, have selected Open GI as their core IT solutions partner following a software house review.
The Cheltenham-based company, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, has contracted with Open GI in a bid to gain increased flexibility and develop a system that caters for their individual needs.
The five year contract with Open GI is scheduled to deliver improved functionality to Lansdown’s system users, whose principle focus is selling insurance for commercial property, blocks of flats / apartments and high net worth homes, in addition to operating as agents for other brokers.
Commenting on the contract, Ray Gill, Senior Partner, Lansdown Insurance Brokers, said: “We selected Open GI on the basis that they are one of the few software houses with an established product set that we can tailor to our own requirements. The system enables us to build and manage schemes, giving us the extra flexibility we require, whilst being cost effective.
“Over the last 50 years our business has seen a growing number of changes, although our main focus still comes back to doing our utmost for our clients and Open GI supports that ethos.”
Simon Hughes, Sales and Marketing Director, Open GI, said: “Lansdown is one of an increasing number of commercial brokers attracted to Open GI’s system flexibility and efficiencies in a bid to increase profitability. It is encouraging that brokers are constantly reviewing their choice of IT system. The competitive advantage that can be gained in today’s economic climate often far outweighs the costs of investing in a new system. We are delighted that Lansdown have committed to Open GI.”
