13th April 2010
Brokers using Open GI’s market-leading quotation engines now have access to a new Full-Cycle EDI Household product from Prestige.
Sure and Simple is the first household product from the underwriting agency on Open GI, adding to their existing motor portfolio. Further Full Cycle EDI Household products are planned with Prestige for next year.
There are currently 1,000 plus products on the Open GI system. Over 600 are Full Cycle EDI, 175 of which cover the household market - providing choice and competitive premiums to Home Insurance customers.
Tim Woodford, Director of Underwriting, Prestige, said: “We were keen to work with Open GI due to the continued increase in brokers using the platform and their expertise in the delivery of Full Cycle EDI.
“Sure and Simple provides a competitive alternative in the household market and we expect the uptake to be high. We have already had approaches from many Open GI brokers that don't currently have an agency with us because they have seen the product showing on their system - so it’s all been very positive so far.”
Jason Potter, Head of Insurer Relations, Open GI, said: “Access to product and new markets is a key requirement for brokers and the greater the number of insurer products that are available, the better the rates and choice for customers. Prestige has a very proactive approach to electronic trading and we are pleased to support the launch of Sure and Simple.”
