Thriving high street firm, NMJ Insurance Brokers, has selected Open GI as the IT partner of choice for their most recent acquisition.
Derbyshire-based Protheroe Insurance was purchased by NMJ in August and specialises in providing motor, home and commercial insurance to customers in the Belper area. The business is in the process of switching from SSP to Open GI as part of NMJ’s strategy to consolidate onto a single IT platform.
This is the second of NMJ’s acquisitions since entering the broker market in January. Their strategy is to acquire three or four quality, established broking businesses per annum in the North and Midlands.
Commenting on the move to Open GI, Nick Potts, Director, NMJ, said: “It’s important that the businesses we acquire have the room to grow. With Open GI, we are confident we have an IT platform that can facilitate this expansion. We continue to be impressed with the overall functionality and service provided and are keen to benefit from the efficiencies that a single IT platform can offer."
Simon Hughes, Sales and Marketing Director, Open GI, said: “We are delighted that NMJ is thriving in today’s climate. It shows there are a huge amount of opportunities in insurance broking. Like many firms, NMJ understand the importance of implementing an IT system that enables them to focus on service and efficiency, whilst making cost-savings. We are pleased to be at the heart of their trading process and their future plans for expansion.”
