Newly launched high street broker NMJ Insurance Brokers (“NMJ”) has selected the Open GI system to support their business venture following a software house review.
The new branch-based broking network established by former Equity Insurance Group Directors has signed up to the Open GI platform for a minimum of four years.
The contract covers the Open GI core trading system, productivity solutions to aid document creation and distribution and powerful quote engines for motor, home and commercial vehicle insurance. NMJ has also signed up for InfoCentre, Open GI’s real-time business intelligence tool.
The Halifax-based company aims to build a network of between 15 and 20 branches in the North of England and the Midlands - all of which will operate using the Open GI system.
Nick Potts, Director, NMJ, said: “As a new entrant to the high-street broker market, a cost effective trading system offering access to insurer products is a business critical purchase. We chose Open GI because of our experience at Equity and the wide range of solutions on offer to improve trading efficiency. The system is extremely powerful and robust – providing excellent support for users and a high quality service to clients.”
Simon Hughes, Sales and Marketing Director, Open GI, said: “The NMJ business will be one to watch in 2010. Directors, Nick Potts and Mike Hutton have a wealth of experience in the broker market and exciting plans for the future. We are pleased that we have been selected as their IT partner of choice. The business is already demonstrating strong retention rates and we hope this continues.”
NMJ is looking to acquire established brokers with c. £1m+ in gross written premium and with a mix of quality personal and commercial business.
