Northern Ireland’s largest independent broker, Hughes Insurance, has undergone a Process Review with Open GI resulting in increased efficiency, cost savings and improved renewal retention.
The multi-channel business based in Newtownards, which insures 1 in 6 cars in Northern Ireland, underwent its own internal renewals review at the start of the year and married this up with the Open GI Process Review to establish the benefits. As a result of the recommendations implemented, which has led to increased productivity across their 200 plus staff, Hughes Insurance can now process double the number of renewals previously completed in a day and this process improvement is set to deliver further benefits.
The ‘free of charge’ full day service for brokers is aimed at improving business performance and helps make full use of the broker’s Core trading system. Hughes Insurance took advantage of the offering from Open GI and focussed the review on identifying areas where they could deliver cost savings.
The aim of the review is to look at current process and suggest practical improvements such as workflow enhancements to assist brokers with cross selling or compliance
