Open GI Process Review Secures Deal with Routen Chaplin

Following a recent Process Review, leading regional broker, Routen Chaplin, has selected Open GI’s productivity solutions to enhance efficiency savings in 2011.

The independent East Midlands based broker, who is celebrating 50 years of trading this year and currently employs over 30 specialised staff, recently underwent a Process Review with Open GI in order to improve business performance.

The long established personal and commercial lines broker took advantage of the Process Review offering from Open GI to focus on identifying areas where they could initiate cost and efficiency savings. The free of charge, full day service for brokers aims to look at current processes and suggest practical improvements to assist with cross selling or compliance and helps brokers to make full use of their Core trading system.

The Open GI Process Review highlighted products to reduce storage, print and postage costs for Routen Chaplin as well as products to streamline production processes. A major benefit will be the introduction of a paperless environment, while still meeting statutory requirements for the production of ‘original’ documents, via Open GI’s Open Word and Open Attach solutions.

Steve Beeley, Director, Routen Chaplin, said: “Our reason behind choosing Open GI is quite simply, stability. Open GI have been around for a long time and their system never fails us. The productivity range proves helpful with a lot of Back-Office functions and taking on the range of Open GI productivity solutions provides us with a more complete package.”

By using the Open Attach file management tool we can attach all scanned documents to client records which works well from an FSA point of view as well as saving valuable time. It also enhances the overall service our customers receive, as staff can access all documentation relating to individual clients at their desk, whilst on the phone.”

Simon Hughes, Sales and Marketing Director, Open GI, said: “In the current economic climate, processing efficiency is essential. Routen Chaplin is one of an increasing number of brokers attracted to these key solutions in a bid to increase efficiency and therefore profitability. Our office productivity solutions provide all the tools that brokers need to produce and store documentation and they improve the overall user experience.”
