Proving as popular as ever, Open GI’s new series of Product Clinics resume this March for a seventh year running. The broker focussed events will be centred on the advent of Core 14, Open GI’s enhanced trading platform and benefit from increased CPD credits from the CII for each clinic attended.
Held across the UK and Ireland, the established free-of-charge, one day events have seen over 1,800 brokers attend across 80 locations since their launch back in 2006. Covering everything from system enhancements and security to electronic distribution and regulation, this year’s programme will focus on Core 14, released in March and Open GI’s Productivity suite.
Brokers who attend will benefit from a host of topics designed to help them to utilise their trading system more efficiently. Expert trainers, consultants and Open GI staff are on hand to show the advantages of the software in a live environment as well as demonstrating new products and latest market developments. The clinics will also provide networking opportunities with like-minded brokers.
Delegates attending the Open GI Product Clinics can now claim 25 CPD credits, an increase on last year’s 15, towards the CII member CPD scheme where the Product Clinics meet their professional development needs. Recently celebrating its centenary, the CII are seeing more and more brokers keen to participate in accredited events.
Scot Grimmer, Broker Academy Manager, CII, said: “Open GI’s Product Clinics are ideal for CII Accreditation due to the nature of the content. Falling in-line with the current CII training programme, the events will give invaluable knowledge as well as meeting the high quality learning and competence skills required.
“The CII’s dedication to professional learning continues to expand in 2012, with more and more brokers seeing the benefit in membership, qualifications and Chartered status. The CPD Event Accreditation will add even more value to Open GI’s events and also help to publicise relevant, high quality learning across the industry.”
Simon Hughes, Sales and Marketing Director, Open GI, commented: “With the advent of Core 14, our Product Clinics couldn’t be more apt in delivering key system knowledge to enhance the working practices of the Back-Office. In addition, with CII accreditation and 25 CPD credits, our dedication to maintain inter-region learning remains as strong as ever.
“Product Clinics aid stimulating discussion with the brokers that attend and we are thrilled to be running them for a seventh year running, with acclaimed CII accreditation for a fifth consecutive year.”
