Tarianonline.com has won the “Loves Welsh” award from language group Cymdeithas yr laith Gymraeg for their Open GI English and Welsh quote and buy website.
Welsh language campaign group, Cymdeithas yr Iaith Gymraeg, has presented an award to independent high street broker Tarian for offering an exceptional Welsh language service to the public. Developed in partnership with Open GI, Tarian’s aim was to create a fully integrated, quote and buy website, enabling customers to instantly purchase motor or home insurance online in a choice of either English or Welsh languages.
The "Gwobr Caru'r Gymraeg - Love Welsh award", part of the language campaign group's new initiative, was presented to Tarian in acknowledgment of the high standards of service the company has provided. The bilingual website for motor and home insurance is the first of its kind and has been welcomed by the Welsh Language Board as a major opportunity to preserve and grow the Welsh language amongst the 20% of the Welsh speaking population in Wales.
Gwilym Roberts, Insurance Consultant Director, Tarian, commented: “Tarian has been operating in the Welsh language since it was established over 20 years ago and we hope with the support of our new website we will continue to offer a Welsh language service far into the future. Providing a choice is invaluable as it makes the service more personal and ultimately makes it easier for the customer, allowing them to choose a language they are most comfortable with.
Simon Hughes, Sales and Marketing Director, Open GI, said: “Congratulations to Tarian on receiving the “Loves Welsh” award. Open GI is pleased to support and work with brokers to develop exciting and innovative solutions to help them provide additional levels of customer service."
