Contactless increase
The new contactless limit has increased to £100, from £45. If you rent a terminal from us you don’t need to worry about this change – we’ve made the updates and your terminal will automatically download those as part of the regular maintenance cycle. If you own your terminal or rent from elsewhere, you need to contact your supplier. All card machines in the UK must accept contactless card transactions up to the new limit of £100. This doesn’t affect contactless payments via digital wallets as they continue to offer no limit on transactions.
14th March 2022
SCA (Strong Customer Authentication) deadline
UK ramp up began June 2021. Issuers will incrementally decline an increasing level of non SCA compliant transactions in the run up to 14th March.
