Open GI User Group marks 30th year anniversary
Independent broker body the Open GI User Group is this year celebrating its 30th anniversary – marking the longest serving independent collective supporting the development of broker software in the UK and Ireland.
Commenting on the anniversary, User Group Acting Chair Jonathan Lyth, JCB Insurance Brokers, said:
“This is such a remarkable achievement and one in which I am delighted to be a part of. The work we undertake as a forum allows our members to influence changes to the technology provided by Open GI, to ensure that its functionality is robust and efficient and is meeting the needs of all brokers nationwide.
“Whilst we are a separate, independent body, over the last 30 years we have worked closely with Open GI to ensure our members’ voices are heard. Open GI have allowed us to influence the direction in which their solutions have evolved and we feel as though we’ve made a real difference. We regularly canvas opinion from members on what they’d like to see from Open GI and it’s pleasing to see that more often than not, these opinions are reflected in the solutions that Open GI create. We feel as though we’re helping to shape technologies for both commercial and personal lines.”
